Sunday night I returned home from my much needed break in Majorca to find a totally changed garden! The trees are shedding their leaves, and the flowers are returning to the earth, preparing for the long sleep. How symbolic. My beloved dog passed away on the last really warm and beautiful summer’s day. We spend the day with him outside in shorts and Ts in his favorite spot under the walnut tree. He had had a great life – now it was his time to go. It was sad but beautiful at the same time.
Today, as I am writing this, I am sitting in my study all wrapped up, big socks, candles on, cozy and warm… Summer is gone. It’s a new beginning. What a difference ten days can make.
Anyway, today I want to share three things with you:

Deborah’s book is really something else! Although I love a great story or memoir, I mostly find myself reading non-fiction books. But this one I just couldn’t put down.
